Sunreef Yachts Debuts Stunning New Ultima Flagship at the Cannes Yachting Festival
Sunreef Yachts has unveiled its flagship model from the Ultima catamaran range at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival. The Ultima 111, measuring 33.8 meters, is the result of a collaboration with Dutch design agency Phathom Studio and will be constructed at Sunreef's facility in Ras al Khaimah, UAE. This new model is being touted as "the world's most technically hybrid ecospeeder," showcasing a commitment to innovative and sustainable yachting.
The design of the Ultima 111 emphasizes sleekness and dynamic lines. As noted by Phathom Studio's Fabian Henke, the yacht maintains strong, forward-facing diagonals and oversized fashion plates, ensuring it stands out among its predecessors. The Ultima 111 features accommodation in three cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite complete with a private terrace and direct access to the foredeck. An interesting shift from previous models is the repositioning of guest cabins to the main deck, enhancing panoramic views due to the yacht's increased tonnage. The crew's quarters have been fully allocated to the hulls, which now contain four cabins, including the captain's quarters.
Unique design elements include side-opening balconies on both the main and lower decks, adding to the yacht's luxurious appeal. The galley is strategically located in the portside hull, equipped with a dumbwaiter to serve al fresco dining areas on the main and upper decks seamlessly. The upper deck lounge is a highlight, featuring a Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, a dining area, and lounge seating, all with the option of an openable hardtop for year-round enjoyment. The beach club retains a familiar configuration with unfolding bulwarks and sunbathing areas, while the aft garage has enough space to accommodate a tender and a Waverunner.
An open-concept atrium staircase connects all three levels of the Ultima 111, enhancing the flow and accessibility throughout the yacht. While specifications are still being finalized, the Ultima 111 is projected to achieve a maximum speed of 25-26 knots, with a hybrid version also in the pipeline.
In addition to the unveiling of the Ultima 111, Sunreef Yachts announced the sale of the third unit in its Eco 43M series. This model features an advanced hydro-generation system designed for emission-free cruising and boasts an "infinite range," reflecting the shipyard's dedication to eco-friendly yachting solutions.
